In Memory of Caitlin Currey

On July 27, 2008, one of my sister's best friends was killed in a car accident. Caitlin Currey was a wonderful young lady who always brightened any room that she walked into. She always had a smile on her face, even if she was mad, and she had the cutest voice. Christie and Caitlin met each other in middle school at East Literature and I played the flute with her in band. They were both planning on going to Tampa this fall to start college.

In memory of Caitlin, I wanted to share two of my favorite memories of her. The earliest memory that I have of Caitlin is when she was over at our house. She came over just to hang out with Christie. I walked by the living room and heard them giggling. I looked in and they were just playing cards or something and they looked at each other and started laughing as if there was an inside joke. They did this all the time. The last memory I have of Caitlin was at her sister's wedding. She was so beautiful. She looked all grown up and proud. This is where the picture above was taken.

Caitlin was an awesome person. She was very sweet and kind. She will truly be missed. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers.

Update!!

Wow it hasn't been a month since I last updated! lol. Anyway, there's been only a couple of things going on recently.

July 4th
Mom, Dad, Christie, and Grandmama came up to visit me in Johnson City. They got to see my apartment with all of the furniture set up the way it's supposed to be. We grilled out on July 4th and had pizza for dinner. Christie, Elizabeth, Marc, Ryan and I went to go see the fireworks at Science Hill after dinner. It wasn't like Nashville, but it was fun. We all had a lot of fun playing games, eating out, and just chilling.

Summer Session
The Monday after July 4th weekend, I started school. I am currently taking Organic Chemistry II, both the lecture and the lab. I have lecture everyday and lab twice a week (for 6 hours!!!). As of right now I have taken two of the four tests. My first test I got an unbelievable 99!!! I was so excited. I'm waiting for the results of the second test since I just took it today. It was a really hard test, so I don't think I'll be getting another 99, but maybe next time.

Since most of my time is for school now, I have cut back on my hours at work. Work has been going fairly well. It's nice to have afternoon's off though like today.

Next blog should be a little bit about my Phi Sigma Pi convention next month. Until then, everybody have a wonderful rest of the month!!! ;)
